How to Stop Being #ForeverAlone

Ever wondered whether you were going to spend the rest of your life taking yourself out on dates alone? We have the answer.
No. But until you find Prince Charming, it’s pretty easy to fall into a pit of self-pity; Especially when all the people around you are obsessed with their boyfriends/girlfriends. Here are some tips to help you when you feel like you had better get a head start on your cat-lady/man career and invest in a few kittens.

1) Use This Time to Invest in Yourself

When you feel depressed, work out, put on make-up and watch a couple of funny YouTube videos. Not only will it make you more attractive to future prospects, but there’s no way you won’t feel happy after watching Baby Laughing or Boy Walking into Glass Door. (If you’re a nice person you might want to skip the latter and watch something like People Helping Out at Soup Kitchens.) In any case, our previous post “Try not to laugh” usually works like a charm when you want some feel-good laughter.

2) Get Educated

You have so much time to learn about whatever you want. Ever wanted to touch up on your French pastry making? Voilà. You have all the time in the world. Maybe you always wondered who sticks the stickers on all the oranges. Look, no one’s judging you. Find out! (If you do, please let us know how this works. It’s been on our minds for quite a while.)

“I just want to dress up and go to dinner parties and drink champagne with a boy in a tux and bowtie.”

3) Never Lower Your Standards Out of Desperation

You’ll only regret it and it’s definitely not worth it.

4) Try New Things

This is kind of like “get educated” but in a social way. Go to places where the probability of you meeting more people is greater. Join a new sports club, volunteer to help out for a special cause, and step out of your comfort zone. You know that’s where the magic happens!

5) Do Not Stalk

Everyone knows stalking an ex is a no-no yet we all do it. However, in order to get over your ex or to not get too emotionally involved with someone you just met, it’s really better for you to stop.
